This is the same book that Assane receives as a child from his father in the first episode of Lupin. Leblanc released his first collection of short stories, Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar, in 1907. Several of those stories were used as inspiration for the Netflix series, with some plot points taken directly from the text.
